Prepare Physically

1. Have A Good Supply of Water

If possible, buy land with a water source on it.

If possible, get a good water purification system, such as the following:

Ultimate Water Filtration System

Clearly Filtered Water Purifier

Just make sure you also stock up on plenty of replacement filters.

Also, when you go to the store make sure you buy purified water — gallon bottles and/or multi-pack bottles. The following are some options that you can order online and either pick up or have delivered to your home:

Multi-packs and Gallons of Water For Pick-Up or Delivery

Do your best and trust God with the rest. God created water and He can supernaturally supply you with water. (Exodus 17:1-6)

Set Up A Rain Barrel Collection System

Purify Storage Water With Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide

If you can afford it, consider investing a Nube Atmospheric Water Generator that makes pure water from the humidity in the air.

ClaZ

Craigslist

Ebay

2. Have A Good Supply Of Food

Each time you go grocery shopping make sure you stock up on non-perishable/long shelf life food items, such as dry beans, rice, pasta, instant potatoes, canned foods, etc. You can also order food products online from the following places:

Dollar Tree

Dollar General

Walmart

YouTuber SouthernPrepper1 recommended a neat way to protect food supplies from pests. Store them in file cabinets. He explained how to get cheap file cabinets.

If possible buy land that you can grow food on. To learn more please see Victory Garden Plus.

Get heirloom seeds that you can save and use year after year.

Check your local stores for heirloom seeds.

Two great places where you can buy heirloom seed kits/packs:

Heirloom Futures

Heirloom Solutions

Get Free Seed Catalogs.

If possible, buy or build a greenhouse so you can grow food year round. You can see if you can find an affordable greenhouse on ClaZ, Craigslist, Ebay, or Let Go.

When you go to the grocery store try to buy organic fruits and vegetables. Save the seeds and use it to plant a garden.

And when you go grocery shopping stock up on food supplies, such as beans, rice, pasta, and other items that can be stored for long term use.

For further information about food storage, such as stocking your pantry, canning, and building a root cellar please visit The Homemade Treasures blog.

If you need to, you can forage for food to eat. To learn more please see the following websites:

Edible Wild Food

Wild Edible

And make sure you don’t eat anything that may be poisonous. For more info please see the Universal Edibility Test.

For additional info about having sufficient food please see Victory Garden Plus and the following video:

Just like water, God can supernaturally supply you with food. (Exodus 16, 1 Kings 17, Matthew 15:29-39, Matthew 6:25-33, Philippians 4:19, Psalms 37:25) So just do your best and trust God to do the rest.

3. Stock Up On First Aid Supplies, including the following:

band-aids

cotton balls

hydrogen Peroxide

gauze

first aid kits

first aid manuals

CPR kits

CPR manuals

You can get many first aid supplies at your local dollar store. You can also order them online from the following places:

Dollar Tree

Dollar General

Walgreens

In addition, if you are able to I highly encourage you to stock up on Survival Medicine and First Aid resources from Doom and Bloom and also sign up for their free newsletter.

5. Learn Natural Remedies

Make a list of all of your health problems. Make a list of all of the health problems of your entire family also. Then learn the natural remedies that can be used for each health problem.

For detailed information about natural remedies please visit the following websites:

Health Concerns

Keys To Better Health

Survival Nutrition

If there is a particular health concern that is not listed on the above websites then go to Brave Search. Type “Natural Remedies For…” and the name of the health problem you’re concerned about. I do not recommend popular search engines, such as Google, because a lot of information is censored.

To find natural remedies at discount prices please check the following:

Swanson Vitamins

Vitacost

You can also grow natural remedies, such as elderberries to boost your immune system. Check out Strictly Medicinal Seeds to see if there are seeds to grow the specific remedies that you and your family need.

6. Stock Up On Personal Care Items from head to toe, including the following:

shampoo — note: cornstarch can be used as a dry shampoo

conditioner — note: coconut oil can be used as a conditioner

body wipes to clean your face, etc.

fluoride-free toothpaste — note: baking soda can be used as toothpaste

mouthwash — note: you can rinse your mouth out with hydrogen peroxide

lip balm

razors for hair grooming — face, etc.

batteries for wireless, electric shavers

soap

aluminum-free deodorant — note: baking soda and coconut oil can be used as deodorant

lotion

talc-free powder

feminine care products such as panty liners and sanitary napkins

And get other personal care products as needed. Also, as much as possible, try to get natural personal care products.

7. Sewing Materials such as the following:

needles

thread

sewing kits

You can get many sewing materials at dollar stores, including online from places like:

Dollar Tree

Dollar General

8. Clothes and Shoes

If needed, get affordable, yet durable clothes. However, I do not recommend Walmart because they have RFID chips (aka tracking devices) in their clothes. Please see the video below.

To learn more about this trend you may want to check out the following books by Katherine Albrecht:

Spychips: How Major Corporations and Government Plan To Track Your Every Move With RFID

The Spychips Threat: Why Christians Should Resist RFID and Electronic Surveillance

And I recently discovered that Walmart will require suppliers to add the RFID tracking devices in household goods and automotive products by September 2022. I will be posting more information about that soon.

And I’m not just trying to pick on Walmart. Other companies may be doing it too. Walmart may be the only one who is admitting it. This information is not being posted to cause fear but rather awareness for your prayerful consideration. And also you may want to ask companies if they are putting RFID tracking devices in their products before you buy anything else from them. With that being said the following are places that have affordable clothes and accessories and to my knowledge they do not have RFID chips:

Collection Etc.

Harriet Carter

Heartland America

Signatures Catalog

Walter Drake

Of course you can also get affordable clothes from thrift stores, however you wouldn’t know if they came from Walmart and have RFID chips in them or not.

In addition, get good walking shoes and rain boots.

9. Seasonal Clothes

Clothes for spring, fall, and summer can be ordered from the places listed above. You can also get winter clothes from them as well. However, it’s a especially important that you be prepped for winter for times of power outages or an EMP. With that in mind please consider the following winter clothes items:

35 Below Thermal Socks

Note: It’s extremely important to keep your feet warm in the winter. You do not want to get frostbite in your feet. The consequences can be devastating. If left untreated you could lose your toes, your feet, and even your life! You definitely want to have warm socks. Plus, you want to have the following:

winter boots

winter gloves

Just like your feet, you also want your hands to be protected from frostbite.

In addition, make sure you have the following clothes items for the winter season:

coats/winter jackets

flannel

fleece

hats — help to retain heat in the body

plush

scarves/hat scarves

sweaters

turtlenecks

You can get really good winter clothes from the following places:

Land’s End

L.L. Bean

Sporting Goods Stores

They may be more expensive, but I listed them for those who can afford it. And if you can’t afford them that’s okay. I can’t either. We just have to do our best and trust God with the rest. Jesus promised that if we, “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things [food, water, clothes] shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)

10. Water And Food For Pets/Animals

You can get food for pets and animals from the following places:

Pet Smart

Tractor Supply

In addition you can grow the following foods for your animals:

Bamboo

Banana Stalks

Kudzu

Tree Hay
